Film director Guillermo del Toro said last night at the San Francisco International Film Fest the upcoming Silent Hills game won’t happen, according to a tweet shared by photojournalst Matt Hacknet. During “An Evening With Guillermo del Toro,” Hacknet shared the following message:
"It's not gonna happen and that breaks my greasy heart." -Guillermo del Toro on #SilentHills. #sfff #sffs #sffilmfest #fb

The unfortunate news follows the removal of Silent Hills’ Playable Trailer (P.T.) from the PlayStation Network. With this announcement, the involvement of del Toro and actor Norman Reedus (from The Walking Dead) comes to an end in this project.
Super bummed about this was really looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll come back around. Sorry everyone 🍕 http://t.co/drZJ8tBsSN

Does this means the days at Konami for famed game director Hideo Kojima are counted?
