The Nintendo 3DS platform beats the PS4 & Xbox One in February 2015 sales

With the release of the New Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo’s 3DS devices beat the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in hardware sales during the month of February 2015.

About 395,000 units of all 3DS devices were sold in the US, most of them of the latest iteration of the portable gaming device.

Among other record sales, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D was the number one title for the month of February with over 515,000 digital and physical copies sold. It has become the fastest-selling portable Zelda title in the U.S.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate sold over 290,000 physical and digital copies last month. Also. it has has become the fastest-selling title in the franchise and achieved the highest Metasscore of all MH titles.

Furthermore, sales of 3DS devices increased 90+% in comparison to the first two months of last year. For the Wii U, sales have increased 20+% as well.
