After the announcement today from HTC revealing its entrance into the world of gaming and virtual reality with cooperation from Valve and partners, a game was actually shown for the HTC Vive, but it may not be the kind of title a gamer would expect.
Owlchemy Labs has been working for the last five months in Job Simulator, a game exclusively for VR platforms. With interest in virtual reality, the company brought native Oculus Rift support for the game AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome, one of most downloaded VR titles on Steam.
The company had paid attention to the future of gaming already: “Ever since the Oculus Rift Kickstarter, we’ve been fervent believers in the potential of VR and ecstatic about the forthcoming widespread consumer adoption of such a transformative new medium. When the first Oculus development kit was released, we saw the potential and knew it would play a very important part in the future of Owlchemy Labs.”
The game will be shown at Valve’s booth at the Game Developers Conference this week.
