Crunchyroll, the video streaming service that offers a wide variety of content including anime, Asian films and dramas, has been down due to a DDOS (distributed denial-of-service) attack. According to its Twitter account, the attack is “of the same magnitude that Xbox and PSN experienced.” Crunchyroll.com has had technical difficulties since the very early hours of today (3 am EST). As of now, the web site is gradually returning, though it may sometimes be inaccessible. There has been no mention for the cause of this service, but gamers who are into anime should be thinking if this is Lizard Squad’s doing or if this is just an isolated occurrence. Recently, Crunchyroll launched its app on the Wii U.
