In a survey of Japanese game developers conducted by 4Gamer, staff members shared in general terms their plans for the next year and beyond. Though no information was specific, it was interesting to find out Square Enix’s Motomu Toriyama said his next title will be announced in 2015, while Platinum Games’ Akiko Kuroda stated he hopes “to have more new development for Bayonetta during 2015.”
For Pokémon fans, it may be a surprise what Tetsuya Watanaba (from Pokémon game developer Game Freak) said about plans for the company:
“We’re doing a lot of different things with respect to our next project, so right now we’re focusing on getting ready to announce it. We sincerely hope from the bottom of our hearts that it’ll be worth checking out once we get to that point.”
Though the company has worked for many years in the development of Pokémon games, it has done a few games not related to the famous video game and anime franchise, such as HarmoKnight, Drill Dozer, and Solitiba. Could it be a new Pokémon game or a brand-new franchise?
