Cidney, the first female Cid character in Final Fantasy

There has been a different character named Cid in every FF title ever since Final Fantasy II. The main characteristic all people named Cid share is their skills as technology-oriented mechanics. However, all Cids have been male, until now. During Jump Festa 2015 in Japan, Square Enix released a new Final Fantasy XV featuring Cidney, the first female Cid character.

Though a trio of young women have already had the role of main characters in FF, it is great to see another female character play an important role in the stories of the franchise. Cidney will make her appearance in the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo.
