We’ve seen Koei Tecmo games coming to the PC network Steam this year with titles such as Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Complete Edition and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Souzou (Traditional Chinese version), so it was about time for the Japanese developer to announce the arrival of its upcoming fighting game to PCs. The game Dead or Alive 5 Last Round won’t just be released on game consoles (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One), it will also be coming to Windows PCs via Steam with the console versions on the week of February 17, 2015. This release marks the first time Koei Tecmo releases a full DOA title for Windows.
Koei Tecmo let Shanda develop an online-only Chinese version, based on Dead or Alive Ultimate (2004), titled Dead or Alive Online.
According to the game’s page on Steam, the PC version’s online modes “will be added in a patch within 3 months of release.”
The game will cost $39.99 in Steam, but Koei Tecmo is currently offering a 10% discount as part of a special promotion that ends on the day the game launches. Part of the promo also includes additional costumes for people who pre-purchase the game.
