Maps and weapons formerly exclusive to PC will be available in Halo: The Master Chief Collection

With just a month and a week before the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft and 343 Industries are sharing some more surprises with us.

In a blog post at the Halo Waypoint website, it was mentioned that the maps and weapons that were exclusive to the PC version of Halo: Combat Evolved will also be included in the Collection, as well as the maps from Halo 2, all of them in custom games and matchmaking.

The PC and Mac versions of the first Halo title (Combat Evolved) had six exclusive maps, while the Windows Vista version of Halo 2 offered the District and Uplift maps.

The website also announced a Twitter giveaway that consists on limited-edition Master Chief mini helmets signed by the team of Halo panelists at the San Diego Comic-Con. Users will need to share the link of a blog post, video, picture, or tweet, using the @Halo in the tweet.
