Activision to invade mobile devices with Skylanders Trap Team

With the popularity of mobile devices, Activision will bring for the very first time the Skylanders franchise with mobile versions of Skylanders Trap Team.

The successful franchise will be coming to the iPad, Kindle Fire and Android tablets the same date as the console versions. With the Tablet Starter Pack, players will get a Bluetooth Traptanium Portal , a bluetooth controller, a built-in tablet stand, two characters, two traps, and a display tray (to keep track on the collected Traps and of the trapped villains).

All 175 existing Skylander toys used in the first game will be compatible with the upcoming title, in addition to the more than 50 new characters the upcoming game will offer.

Vicarious Visions is the developer in charge of mobile title that will work with the iPad (3rd Gen, 4th Gen, iPad Mini Retina, iPad Air). Kindle Fire HDX (7″ and 8.9″), Google Nexus 7, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro, Samsung Galaxy Tab S, and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 & 12.2.

Once installed in a mobile device, the game can be played with a controller (as in the console version) or with touch controls.
