EA today announced a new subscription service for Xbox One owners that will let players enjoy unlimited play of selected titles.
Does this plan sounds familiar to you? While Netflix is all about movies and TV shows, the EA Access service will allow gamers to play a collection of games which will include: FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2 and Battlefield 4. More titles will be included in the collection.
Besides the game collection called The Vault, EA Access will also include some perks such as: a 10% off on digital titles for Xbox One, and early access to trials of new games before their releases.
The subscription service will costs either $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Interested players will be able to buy the membership at US GameStop and UK GAME stores.
EA Access will launch soon in Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom, and the United States. For more info: visit www.ea.com/access/.
[Op]: With time, more games will be available on EA Access’ The Vault, but, is this a test plan by EA to try to make players jump into a digital-only subscription-service for the future availability of games?
