Many fans of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask were hoping for an announcement during E3 2014, but their wishes did not come true. Yes, many people would love to play again Link’s adventure with the many masks he wears, this time on the 3DS. However, there is one Kickstarter project that could bring make real fans of Majora’s Mask happier, even though this is not a game.
Culture Cal is the creation of Matt Fox and is seeking your help to bring his Kickstarter project alive.
According to Fox, the Majora’s Mask Culture Calendar “consists of an 8×12 wood board with an etched carving of Termina, the world where the game takes place, and 24 ‘mask tokens.’ The map has been recreated as a Tolkien-esque fantasy map, and the tokens are artistic recreations of said masks lacquered on wooden coins. There are 24 small hooks secured in the map, and for each day of the advent season owners add a token of their choice to the map. At the end of the holiday season, all mask tokens are displayed proudly on a board that fits comfortably on any number of household or business surfaces.”
If successful, the project will be able to continue with calendars from other franchises such as Batman, Fallout, Pokémon, Elder Scrolls and more.
Personally, this handcrafted project is very detailed and looks very nice. If you are a Zelda fan and are interested in this advent calendar, you must act soon if you want to provide your support to make this a reality. The project’s deadline on Kickstarter ends on July 24, 2014 at 12:36 am EDT.
