Microsoft is bringing Xbox 360 controller support to its well-known Internet Explorer thanks to its recently-announced Internet Explorer Developer Channel. With this launch, Microsoft will let users try out many upcoming features for the Windows 7 and 8.1 version of its browser.
Among the new enhancements, users will be able to try their Xbox 360 controllers to play online games, such as Microsoft’s Escape from XP, Hover.IE, and Atari Arcade games (optimized for use with IE only). With the Gamepad API, programmers will be able to use Javascript to add controller support for their apps, including web games.
This addition will give gamers one more reason to have their Xbox 360 controllers connected to their PCs.
