Square Enix has not done any new and important Final Fantasy sequel in 8-bit or 16-bit since the end of the 16-bit generation with the Super Famicon / Super Nintendo and jumped to 32-bit games on the PlayStation in the mid-1990s. But what is really fun to see is how a current PS3 or Xbox 360 game would look as a 16-bit Super Nintendo title.
The people at Square Enix released a cool video of just that: how Final Fantasy XIV would look on an HDTV a group of fighters with different skills in a battle against a big enemy. Though this does not seem to be a video of a game being developed, it is a nice to see SE showing young gamers a bit of the cool days of 16-bit gaming.
