Earlier today, Yahoo! announced its Spanish-language portal, Yahoo! en Español, received a complete, new design. The new look of the site now resembles its English-language version. The Spanish-language version now offers an easier way to navigate Yahoo’s homepage.
Among the new features in Yahoo! en Español, you can find:
- App Customization: The many sections of Yahoo en Español (Noticias, Mujer, Celebridades, Juegos, and more) can now be customized. Users are now able to choose the sections they want to have on their Yahoo en Español homepage.
- Lo último Tab: An endless stream of content based on popularity and updated in real-time. This tab accompanies other tabs such as Noticias, Deportes, Entretenimiento and Mujer.
- New advertising: The new, redesigned web site allows companies to reach audiences with ads that will be appearing on desktop PCs, tablets and mobile devices, and remain as intended.
Users can also go straight to other services such as Yahoo! Mail, Flickr, and associate their Yahoo account with Facebook.
“The new Yahoo experience, with its modern and familiar design, makes it easier for users to discover news and receive information,” said Javier Garcia , CEO of Yahoo in Spanish. “It is part of our commitment to inspire and entertain our users by creating a friendly and intuitive site for daily use.”
More changes will be coming in the following months with improvements to the homepage.
