Many fans may already be disappointed by the upcoming absence of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 from the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
Capcom, via ComboFiend, announced on the Capcom Unity community site that Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 will no longer be available the digital way.
Another game that will suffer the same fate must be Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and not Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I said that because the post says: “Get Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 before they go away!” and “Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 – PSN / XBLA.” The statement should be referring to MvC3 because MvC2 has no downloadable content, other than video strategy guides by Prima Games.
The DLCs of these two games are being offered at a 50% discount. PSN players have until Tuesday 12/17 in North America. until 12/19 in Europe, and until 12/26 worldwide.
Without an explanation for the removal of both titles, gamers can only guess, but it seems like the license for MvC3 and UMvC3 is about to end. Marvel and Capcom, do something about this! Bring the game to the PS4, XB1 and Wii U, too.
