Most general web users do not associate internet browsers with anime characters or mascots. We’ve never seen official Internet Explorer, Opera, or even Chrome logos with personifications of themselves. Firefox (and the old Netscape browser) at least got Mozilla (think Mosaic -the first graphical web browser- and Godzilla). Good thing, Microsoft Singapore noticed the work of Collateral Damage Studios [http://www.collateralds.com/news/random/the-story-of-aizawa-inori/] to make Aizawa Inori the personification of Internet Explorer.
