Swindon Museum of Computing celebrates 30 years of Ms. PAC-MAN
After the success of last years PAC-MAN 30th anniversary celebrations, the Museum of Computing in Swindon will this year be celebrating Ms. PAC-MAN’s 30th birthday. On Saturday 21st May, a free ‘Ms. PAC-MAN party’ event is being organised at Wharf Green in Swindon Town centre.
The highlight will be the ‘Human Pacmaze’ where the public can participate in the Ms. Pacmaze challenge. There will also be PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN gaming, facepainting and Museum of Computing volunteers will be there to let the public know about all the events and exhibitions coming up at the museum.
Finally, back at the museum, visitors will be able to play variations of PAC-MAN and Ms. PAC-MAN on a variety of machines such as the Atari 2600, Nintendo Game Cube, Game Gear, Sega Master System and many other retro game systems.
Museum Curator Simon Webb said “A lot of people prefer Ms. PAC-MAN to the original, we thought it was only right to give her a day of her own. Last year we had people from all over the country come down for the PAC-MAN event, it was a fabulous day.”
The action kicks off at Wharf Green at 11:00 and will go on until 16:00, this is an event not to be missed! The museum will be open from 09:30 until 17:00, normal admission charges will apply.
