BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES STARCRAFT® II: WINGS OF LIBERTY™ CO-MARKETING CAMPAIGN WITH KOREAN AIR
StarCraft II wrapped airplanes to be featured on domestic and International routes for six months
Seoul, Korea – June, 24, 2010 – Blizzard Entertainment Korea (www.blizzard.co.kr), in conjunction with Korean Air, today announced co-marketing plans for its highly anticipated real-time strategy game, StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty™.
With this joint promotion, a character image of Jim Raynor, a terran hero from StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, will be wrapped on two of Korean Air’s planes using special films and paint. The two wrapped airplanes — a B747-400 and a B737-900 — will fly domestic routes in Korea as well as international routes in the U.S. and European regions for six months starting on June 24 and in early July, respectively. In addition, four Korean Air limousine buses wrapped with StarCraft II character images will be in service during this period.
Blizzard Entertainment and Korean Air unveiled the first StarCraft II airplane to approximately 400 industry partners and press during the StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty launch press event at the Korean Air hangar located at Gonghang-dong, Kangseo-gu, Seoul on June 24.
