LOS ANGELES, Calif., (June 2, 2009) – Greek mythos collides with the eternal tale of souls and swords as NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., today announced that Kratos, from Sony Computer Entertainment America’s critically revered God of War® franchise, will appear as a guest character in SOULCALIBUR®: Broken Destiny. Developed by Project Soul® exclusively for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, SOULCALIBUR: Broken Destiny is the first portable iteration in the series that promises to deliver its signature weapon-based fighting formula on-the-go. Robust and challenging single-player modes, head-to-head multiplayer and gorgeous visuals make this a must-have for any fighting game fan.
“In creating the Soulcalibur PSP system exclusive title, we knew Kratos was the only choice to appear as our special guest character,” said Makoto Iwai, Executive Vice President and COO, NAMCO BANDAI Games America. “God of War embodies the characteristics of a classic Soulcalibur guest character with a powerful persona, a rich back story and a mighty blade with which to fight.”
