Most people have used Internet Explorer simply because it’s the one that comes built-in with Windows operating systems. But IE is not the only browser there is. I use Mozilla Firefox 3 most of the time to do everything I need to do when I’m online. I use Internet Explorer just to update my PC. I also have the latest versions of Opera and Safari. I think one more browser won’t hurt. Now Google is the new player in the browser war. In many ways, Google is right when it comes to our online needs. Why should a browser close all of its windows when a page crashes? Why should all web applications and tabs be inside the browser? Don’t we want a faster browser, especially one that executes JavaScript much faster? These are some of the things Google’s Chrome will be able to do. The software is open-source (software code with free development and distribution) and will come with anti-malware software protection and a private browsing mode.

Since Google is the people’s favorite search engine, it seems like Microsoft will have a new contender in the browsers war. Now, what will happen to Google because of its relationship with Mozilla’s Firefox? Last week, Google and Mozilla renewed their contract in order for Mozilla to keep Google as the browser’s default search engine in exchange for money. The original contract between both companies cost Google about $57 million. What will the future of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox be like from now on? Time will tell. La mayoría de la gente ha utilizado Internet Explorer simplemente porque es el que viene built-in (incorporado) con los sistemas operativos de Windows. Pero el IE no es el único navegador que hay. Utilizo Mozilla Firefox 3 la mayor parte del tiempo para hacer todo lo que necesito hacer cuando estoy en línea. Utilizo Internet Explorer solo para poner al día mi PC. También tengo las últimas versiones de Opera y Safari. Creo que un navegador más no lastimará. Ahora Google es el nuevo jugador en la guerra de los navegadores. De muchas formas, Google tiene razón cuando se trata de nuestras necesidades en línea. ¿Por qué debe un navegador cerrar todas sus ventanas cuando una página falla? ¿Por qué deben estar todas las aplicaciones web y pestañas dentro del navegador? ¿No queremos un navegador más rápido, especialmente uno que ejecute Javascript mucho más rápidamente? Estas son algunas de las cosas que Chrome de Google podrá hacer. El software será de código abierto (open source: codigo software con desarrollo y distribución libre) y vendrá con la protección de software anti-malware (software malicioso) y modo de navegación privado.

Puesto que Google es el buscador preferido de la gente, parece como Microsoft tendrá un nuevo competidor en la guerra de los navegadores.
