ATLUS UNVEILS FULL COLOR, HARDCOVER ART BOOK FOR UPCOMING “GAME OF THRONES” RPG; FREE WITH PRE-ORDERS FOR A LIMITED TIME AT SELECT RETAILERS
Loaded with concept art and developer notes, “Game of Thrones: Visuals from the RPG” is the ultimate complement to the upcoming video game and the perfect bonus for fans of the books and TV series
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA – FEBRUARY 23, 2012 — ATLUS (Index Digital Media, Inc.), in collaboration with Cyanide Studios, today unveiled a limited pre-order bonus art book for “Game of Thrones™,” the upcoming RPG based on the internationally bestselling book series A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin and the critically acclaimed HBO® television series, Game of Thrones®.
Only available from select retailers while limited supplies last, the “Game of Thrones: Visuals from the RPG” art book stands as one of ATLUS’ finest bonuses to date, offering sixty-four full color pages of sketches, renders, photos, and screenshots from the game accompanied by compelling text and commentary from the game’s developers. The book will also include rare behind the scenes materials, like a portrait of the development team signed with a special message from author George R. R. Martin himself. The art book–measuring 8.5″ wide and 11″ tall–is hardbound, meticulously composed, and printed on premium stock, a true labor of love worthy of the series and its fans.
“‘Game of Thrones: Visuals from the RPG’ represents one of the most elaborate, expensive bonuses we have ever offered,” commented Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ATLUS. “Everything about this premium art book is above and beyond the typical pre-order bonus, and all at no additional cost to the customer. Its larger dimensions, page count, hardcover binding, and exceptional print quality are more in line with what fans would expect from a Deluxe Edition extra or a separate purchase, which is why it will only be available at select retailers and quantities will be extremely limited. The A Song of Ice and Fire series of books and the Game of Thrones TV series are as special to us as they are to the millions of fans around the world; we are thrilled we can offer this unique bonus to complement the first major video game release based on the franchise.”
“Game of Thrones” is currently scheduled to release on May 15 for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and PC. “Game of Thrones: Visuals from the RPG” will only be available in limited quantities from Amazon (US and Canada), GameStop, EB Games, and the HBO Shop®.

California Superior Court Finds Activision Publishing May Proceed With Jury Trial In Suit Against Electronic Arts
Motions Filed for Summary Judgment by Electronic Arts, Former Employees West and Zampella Denied
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Dec. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ – Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI), announced that the Los Angeles Superior Court has denied a motion brought by Electronic Arts, Inc. (EA) for summary judgment, thereby permitting Activision to proceed to trial on its $400 million contract-interference suit against EA.. At a hearing held yesterday, December 21, 2012, Judge Elihu Berle denied EA’s motion, finding that the evidence presented by Activision supplied a basis for a jury to potentially conclude both that EA had intentionally interfered with Activision’s employment agreements with former Call of Duty game developers, Jason West and Vince Zampella, and that EA had aided and abetted West and Zampella’s breach of fiduciary duties to Activision. A related summary judgment motion put forth by West and Zampella was also denied.
In the suit Activision alleges that West and Zampella breached their contracts and duty of loyalty to Activision by conduct that was insubordinate and otherwise improper and that West and Zampella’s misconduct was caused, at least in part, by EA’s unlawful tampering. A jury trial in the case is scheduled to begin on May 7, 2012.
