“Macross: Do You Remember Love?” [PS3] – Hybrid Pack

[EN]: If you’ve been seen either the original Macross anime or the American-modified version known as Robotech, you should sure remember Rick Hunter (Hikaru Ichijyo), Lynn Minmay and Misa Hayase. Macross/Robotech was one of the most well-known anime worldwide in the decade of the 1980s, and perhaps one of the most remembered ones even after 30 years of its premiere in Japan, and later in other countries. Macross: Do You Remember Love? is a film adaptation of the original Macross anime and it is going to be re-released along with a flight game for the PS3 in a hybrid pack. Watch these two recent commercials. They should bring you lots of memories if you got to see Macross or Robotech.

There are no specifics about what new anime the network is referring, so it seems like we have to wait until Toonami returns on May 26, or some time later to find out. Also, if you are a fan of The Boondocks, it is returning for a fourth season to Adult Swim (finally).

[EN]: Perhaps the best news many anime fans have heard in a long while, the return of Toonami will finally become a reality. After the airing of Toonami as an April Fool’s joke on Cartoon Network, many people tweeted their emotions to @adultswim, & expressed their feelings by emailing Cartoon Network.

Personally, Toonami was one small segment on Cartoon Network that united all anime fans, geeks everywhere. When it was gone, it was a big loss on September 20, 2008, after its original launch date of March 17, 1997.

Toonami started as that little corner on the Cartoon Network schedule for the teens and grownups who wanted more action. Dragon Ball Z, G Gundam, Robotech, Sailor Moon and many other anime were seen on Toonami.

With its return on May 26, let’s hope Toonami is here to stay. We want anime! If you share my feelings, share this video. It’s time to celebrate.

[EN]: I’m not sure if President Barack Obama is a fan of videogames, but he sure is a Trekkie. Last month, during Black History Month, Nichelle Nichols, well-known actress because of her famous role as Uhura in the Star Trek films and TV series, got to see the President as the White House. Both Obama and Nichols have made history in their careers, one as the first African-American President ever and one as the first African-American actress in a primetime TV series portraying a character in a professional role, in this case as a Lieutenant. While the President has been seen doing the Vulcan salute a few times before [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW7OPByRGDY], this was the first time he’s done it at the White House with Nichelle. This is a great moment of pride for all.

On Twitter, she posted: “A photo came to me in the mail that I’ve kept for myself for over a week, but now it’s time to share it with Trekkers everywhere -.” Two tweets later, she posted the following photo. On Facebook, she also said: “On Feb 29, 2012 I was honored to have the chance to meet with President Obama in the Oval Office. I always knew that there was a reason that I liked him so much! Live Long & Prosper!”

Toonami is back! | ¡Toonami ha vuelto!

[EN]: I kept the image of Tom on the column to the right. It’s a screenshot of the end of Toonami on September 20, 2008, and the first profile icon for my YouTube account related to this blog. For many of us who had watched Toonami on weekdays at 5pm and later at midnight, seeing Toonami again is more than just a joyous moment, at least for me. I hope this can be a Toonami renaissance and not just an unexpected surprise. I knew somehow Toonami was going to return someday. I’m glad that day is today.

The Satsui no hadou

Both hide in the depths of one’s soul and are unrelenting powers that plague the heroes of the Tekken and Street fighter universes respectively. “Is the quest for power just when the cost is your own humanity?” When these two powers discover the existence of one another, it changes the fate of many warriors from both worlds.

When the renowned world warrior Ryu, (from Street Fighter lore) begins to struggle with the darkness inside (The “Satsui no hadou”) it attracts the attention of a man who has come to fully accept his own darkness, Kazuya Mishima (Tekken series regular). With the Devil Gene howling inside Ryu’s mind, Kazuya attacks, catching him off guard and taking advantage of his battle within. Who will win when these worlds collide?
