Famitsu recently published the Japan game console sales for the week of October 3-9, 2022.
The Switch consoles continue to rule the market in Japan during this slow week in sales. Out of all consoles sold, Nintendo sold 62,100 out of 68,539 (90.60534878% of all console units sold) during that week. In previous weeks, the overall number of consoles sold was much higher even during the week of September 26-October 2, with 101,746 units sold. Meanwhile, Sony continues in second place with 5,545 PS5 units sold (which is 8.090284% of all consoles sold). Microsoft remained in third place with 1.16284% (a total of 797 Xbox Series units sold).
