Even after laying off about 150 people, the company shows it has more plans for financial growth by entering into the online gambling business. A deal with Bwin, a UK online gaming operator, will allow Zynga, parent company of many social games like CityVille, to bring a slots simulation game based on the FarmVille franchise, and others.

I’ve visited Hard Rock Live, the one in Tampa, and I’ve seen a few slots games based on actual video games, but in the case of FarmVille, this could be a good strategy to bring new gamers into social gaming.
