Lord of Ultima Takes the Lead as the First EA Title to Launch on Bigpoint

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) and Bigpoint International Services Ltd. today announced a strategic relationship to distribute select titles within EA’s high-quality Play4Free portfolio to a global audience. To launch this relationship, EA will bring Lord of Ultima™, a hit Play4Free strategy game, to the Bigpoint network in March 2011. Lord of Ultima is the first of many titles to be released on http://www.bigpoint.com/ as EA increases its investment in the Play4Free brand internationally.

Apple confirms official presentation for March 2nd. iPad 2?!

At just a few months away for the first anniversary of the launch of the iPad tablet, Apple will show the newest version of its mentioned device at a special event in California. Apple sent invites this morning to members of the media for an official presentation on March 2nd. The event will take place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.

With confirmation of an event from Apple, speculations are still rolling about the new features of the iPad. After the success of its first tablet, the device is expected to provide some functions that were absent on its current version, but will be present on the upcoming one. Among those are: FaceTime video chat feature, front-facing camera, and connection to both GSM and CDMA wireless networks.

The invitation received by members of the press shows a small part of the device on the upper right corner. Most of the picture is occupied by the date of the event with the following message at the bottom: ”Come see what 2011 will be the year of.”
