Update: The Wall Street Journal posted an article on its site saying that Verizon will announce the arrival of the iPhone to its wireless network, according to one source familiar with the matter [2].
Update 2: Sources say Apple CEO Steve Jobs will be present at the Verizon event [3].

Earlier today, Verizon sent invites to certain members of the media for a special event this coming Tuesday, January 11th, in New York. If this gets to be like what most experts think, it seems like Tuesday will be the day in which the iPhone gets to be officially announced for wireless network Verizon.
Though there’s no mention of Apple or iPhone according to the invitation, the date (1/11/2011) is the same one that appears on reports of some non-verified sources from the last few days that state Apple is planning to announce its famous device.
Recently, a video on YouTube (iPhone 5 Parts Unveiled Exclusively) was removed from the well-known video site due to a copyright claim by Apple.

LG and Nvidia today unveiled today at CES the first smart phone with a dual-core processor. With this new capability, first for mobiles, the LG Optimus 2X offers multimedia functions with more efficiency, without delay, or less than any other mobile phone device.
With the 1Ghz Tegra 2 graphics processor by Nvidia, the LG Optimus 2X consumes less power and offers high performance audio and video. According to the specifications, the device can record and play back high-definition video (1080p) and digital devices can be connected via DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance). Moreover, as in the recent late models of smart phones, it will come with an 8.0 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera.
One of the most attractive features is ‘HDMI mirroring’ (HDMI TV-out) that will bring the entertainment device to HDTVs. The use of the accelerometer and gyro sensor will make it more interesting to play on the big screen.
During Nvidia’s presentation, the capabilities of the mobile phone were exhibited in more detail. Different games were shown in order to demonstrate the graphics, ‘Angry Birds’ (developed by Rovio Mobile) and ‘Soul Craft’ (developed by MobileBits), and the comparison of the online game ‘Dungeon Defenders’ (Trendy Entertainment) on PC, PS3 and on the Tegra 2 at the same time. It seems like the Tegra 2 processor works fluently at the same speed as in the other two versions.
Other companies are supporting this technology by developing games and apps for this device, like Skype.
Due to the great performance of this new dual-core processor, Nvidia has given a new category to this phone: “super phone”, the next generation of smartphones.

Pac-Man was one of the main attractions at today’s 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. As the first videogame character that captivated the attention of kids, teens and adults some 30 years ago, Pac-Man has become an icon among gamers and non-gamers alike. The song Pac-Man Fever can be heard, the same one that became very popular while the game (and the cartoon version) was played a lot at arcades, fast-food restaturants, pizza parlors, and other places. The Pac-man float received the Judge’s Special Trophy at the event (which can be seen in the video starting at 05:56 minutes).
Pac-Man fue una de los principales atracciones en el “Desfile del Torneo de las Rosas” 2011 hoy en Pasadena, California. Como el primer personaje de videojuegos que cautivó la atención de niños, adolescentes y adultos hace unos 30 años, Pac-Man se ha convertido en un icono entre los jugadores y no jugadores por igual. La canción Pac-Man Fever puede ser escuchada, la misma que se hizo muy popular mientras que el juego (y la versión de dibujos animados) se jugaba mucho en los “arcades”, restaturantes de comida rápida, pizzerías y otros lugares.
