[16-Aug-2010] To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, LEGO Systems, Inc. and Lucasfilm Ltd. summoned the force of LEGO® and STAR WARS fans and families to participate in a three-day collaborative build of an eight-foot tall, 15-foot wide LEGO mystery mural to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The mural was constructed by attendees of Star Wars Celebration V and a LEGO Master Builder at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center from August 13-15. For every LEGO plate a fan built and added to the mural, LEGO Systems and Lucasfilm’s “The Empire Gives Back” program donated 330 LEGO System and LEGO DUPLO® bricks to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital to encourage imagination and creative play among the children who receive care each year. In total, more than 1.5 million LEGO bricks will be donated.

F1 2010 will be released on September 22nd in North America, September 23rd across EPAC territories with a UK street date of September 24th for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft®, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC Games For Windows®.

Showcasing the race day experience of a GRAND PRIXTM, the new gameplay video features the full 24 car grid battling it out at Suzuka, Melbourne and taking on the famous Eau Rouge at Spa. The video also provides an insight into the broader driver’s experience at a GRAND PRIX, showing press interviews in the paddock, race engineers managing their drivers out on the circuit and motion-captured pit-lane crew returning their car into the action. On the track action shows daring passing manoeuvres and wheel-to-wheel racing as stars including Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel compete to become FIA FORMULA ONE DRIVERS’ WORLD CHAMPION.

F1 2010 is the official game of the 2010 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP and will include all of the official teams, drivers and circuits featuring in the sport’s most exciting season to date. F1 2010 features a range of game modes, from quick-fire races and time trials to full GRAND PRIX weekends and an extensive career mode. Players will experience the thrill of racing motorsport’s most advanced cars at the world’s finest circuits, including, for the first time in a videogame, high-definition recreations of Singapore’s stunning night race and the dramatic Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC and SUBWAY® Restaurants, the world’s largest submarine sandwich franchise, today announced a marketing alliance that will offer SUBWAY diners and PlayStation® fans the opportunity to instantly win PlayStation prizes including select products before they are available to buy in stores. The prizes will total more than 1 million dollars in retail value and will be awarded at the rate of one prize per minute during the promotion period.

The collaborative endeavor, entitled Fiery Footlong Frenzy Fueled by PlayStation, will feature SUBWAY’s spiciest sandwiches to date – dubbed Fiery Footlong subs – including the spicy New Turkey Jalapeno Melt and the back by popular demand Buffalo Chicken. When they quench the fire with a 32 oz drink, diners will have the chance to win a wide variety of PlayStation prizes, including the highly anticipated PlayStation® Move motion controller, before they become available for purchase in stores in September.
