Konami code on Facebook | El código de Konami en Facebook

English | Español

After the release of  a Konami game in the 80s called Contra for the NES, many gamers were then unable to finish the game with the number of lives and continues the game offered, unless gamers were experts at it. But when the game company revealed the easy-to-remember code, no one has forgotten it since. It became the most well-known code in gaming. It worked on many of Konami’s games, but it faded away throughout the years. Gamers still remember it, even the ones at some famous site.

Some people at Facebook, after listening to what happened to ESPN.com and the appearance of  unicorns and rainbows, decided to include the same feature. Don’t expect the Konami code on Facebook to make you feel you are in a fantasy world like it happened to the sports site. Simply, try the following with your keyborad: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Enter.

Capcom: Sengoku Basara to the stage | Sengoku Basara al escenario

From/De: Capcom Co., Ltd.

Capcom to bring Sengoku BASARA series to the stage!
-The series that ignited the Sengoku Craze, is leading yet another charge-

Capcom Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that there will be a stage adaptation of its Sengoku BASARA series.

The Sengoku BASARA series of games are unique action games which while based around famous generals and historical events, give a unique, fresh, and original look at the Sengoku era of Japanese History. Since the release of the first Sengoku BASARA title in 2005, the series has shipped more than 1.4 million copies. Its fanbase has grown steadily, and the series has become one of Capcom’s premiere franchises. Beginning with character merchandise, comics, trading cards, drama CDs and music CDs, Capcom has been agressively promoting the Sengoku BASARA series to enhance its brand value. Also, brisk sales have been recorded with “Sengoku BASARA Battle Heroes”, the latest addition to the Sengoku BASARA series, whose release conincided with the April 2009 launch of the animated TV series. It is through this kind of multi-faceted expansion that Capcom hopes to maximize synergetic effect.

Moreover, the modern adaptations of Sengoku generals have been well-received amongst its broad fanbase, which ranges from game novices to female gamers (the latter comprises 40% of the game’s user base). The series is also getting wide public attention for possibly having sparked a Sengoku Craze. There has been a dramatic spike in the number of visitors to historical sites depicted in the game.

This stage adapation, combines video, sound, and lighting effects to bring battle scences alive in a way that only the stage can, and creates a fresh view of the Sengoku BASARA world.

Capcom is also planning to take a more proactive approach in reaching a larger auidence of potential fans. One way planned to accomplish this is to offer bus tours to Miyagi, the land once home to Masamune Date and Kojuro Katakura, to increase knowledge of the characters in the Sengoku BASARA series. This tour is managed by JTB and scheduled to take place during the month of June 2009.

LOS ANGELES, May 06, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) — EA Mobile(TM), a division of Electronic Arts Inc., (NASDAQ:ERTS), today announced two of its biggest global franchises are available on the Apple App Store. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR(R) and Need for Speed(TM) Undercover were created for the unique capabilities of the iPhone and iPod touch and providing the graphic quality and simulation experience that is core to these successful franchises. Need for Speed Undercover players will outrun the cops while navigating the roads using the accelerometer feature.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR brings the ultimate mobile golf experience to the iPhone and iPod touch, including the world’s No. 1 golfer, legendary courses and an interface that leverages these great devices,” said Adam Sussman, VP of Worldwide Publishing for EA Mobile. “Need for Speed players will lose themselves in the most intense 3D racing environment EA has brought to mobile phones.”

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR

EA/BioWare & Green Ronin: Dragon Age Pen & Paper RPG Game | Juego de rol de bolígrafo y papel de Dragon Age

From/De: EA

BioWare and Green Ronin to Publish Dragon Age Pen & Paper Role-Playing Game

BioWare’s Highly Anticipated Epic Fantasy Video Game Gets the Pen & Paper Treatment

EDMONTON, Alberta–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Leading video game developer BioWare™, a division of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS), today announced that Green Ronin Publishing will launch a pen and paper role-playing game (RPG) based on the highly anticipated video game, Dragon Age: Origins. The pen and paper game extends the Dragon Age universe, making it more accessible to passionate RPG fans looking for another way to experience the epic fantasy world of Thedas.

“We’re delighted to be working with Green Ronin to explore more of the Dragon Age universe through a pen and paper role-playing game. We’re excited to deliver Dragon Age’s unique dark, heroic fantasy to our audience in a brand new way – a perfect complement to the landmark game we’re launching on PC, Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 this fall,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, General Manager and CEO, BioWare and General Manager and Vice President, EA. “Our development teams craft rich, deep worlds, and this is an excellent way to expand the franchise.”

Dragon Age: Origins has been described as the spiritual successor to BioWare’s Baldur’s Gate™, one of the most highly-acclaimed fantasy computer RPGs in the world, so when BioWare approached us to do a pen and paper version, we had to say ‘yes!’,” said Green Ronin President Chris Pramas. “With our work on Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Black Company, and Thieves’ World, dark fantasy is in our blood and Dragon Age: Origins is the best in its class. An opportunity to collaborate with BioWare on Dragon Age: Origins was not to be missed.”

The Dragon Age pen and paper RPG will be available at card shops, book and comic retailers in summer 2009. The first release will be a boxed set — perfect for new and experienced role-players alike. Green Ronin plans to release additional boxed sets and supplemental books, expanding the Dragon Age world even further.

Dragon Age: Origins from BioWare invites players to create their own heroes and join the fight against the darkspawn in a world of violence, lust and betrayal. The game will feature deep character customization, challenging decisions, and a wealth of gritty, mature plots that, combined with the BioWare heritage, make it one of the most highly-anticipated releases of 2009. Dragon Age: Origins is scheduled to release this fall on the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and PC.

Dragon Age: Origins is rated RP by the ESRB. No PEGI rating is available at this time. For more information about Dragon Age: Origins, visit www.dragonage.com. Pre-order the game now at www.eastore.ea.com.
