Call of Duty: World at War is one of the coolest games today. The non-stop action combined with excellent graphics and sound makes players feel like they are in real combat. If you’ve enjoyed the game and its first pack, you’ll be happy to know there will be more content for gamers to enjoy. Activision announced today the upcoming release of Map Pack 2. Too bad we’ll have to wait until June to download it. The people attending E3 may be the first to try and most fortunate.

Call of Duty(R): World at War Map Pack 2 Preparing for Deployment
SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 30, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ — New battle lines have been drawn for one of the most intense and most-played online multiplayer games, as Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) and developer Treyarch, confirmed plans today for Call of Duty(R): World at War Map Pack 2. Set for release in June, Call of Duty(R): World at War Map Pack 2 will feature three multiplayer maps and one new Zombie map, and appear on the Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION(R)3 computer entertainment system.

Online, players will compete in “Banzai,” and fight for control of a tall, river bridge, deep within enemy territory; face down foes in a shattered Russian train yard in “Corrosion”; and struggle to control a bombed-out submarine base in the close-quarter map, “Sub Pens.” In “Shi No Numa” (Zombie Swamp), Imperial Zombies rise from misty swamps in an all new co-op experience, with a level that features a mix of traps, flaming Hell Hounds, Perk machines and the deadly, new Wunderwaffe DG-2, as well as 10 new Xbox 360 Achievements/PS3 Trophies that can be earned along the way.

EA Reveals The Sims 3 Full Online Feature Set
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) today announced the robust online and community offerings to The Sims™ 3 PC and Mac game, the highly-anticipated flagship game from the best-selling PC franchise The Sims. In addition to the town included in the game, a second town, Riverview will be available for download from The Sims 3 product website at launch. TheSims3.com also will allow players to create and share their own movies, manage their online content and purchase additional in-game content. The game is set to launch worldwide on the PC, Mac, iPhone™, iPod® touch and mobile devices starting June 2, 2009.

Need for Speed™ Undercover Unveils Challenge Series and Boss Car Content Packs
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Black Box, a studio of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS), announced today two new content packs for Need for Speed™ Undercover. The Challenge Series is free and features 60 events across two new game modes including the opportunity to earn up to three new cars. The premium Boss Car pack will give players access to Undercover’s specially customized boss vehicles for $5.00 (400 MS points).
The Challenge Series and Boss Car packs are available now on the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and coming soon on the Xbox 360® videogame system from Microsoft and the PC. This new content reflects an ongoing commitment of post-launch support to Need for Speed fans.
Challenge Series:
- Highway Wars is the ultimate fusion of Undercover’s signature Highway Battles with the adrenaline fueled competition of sprint racing. In this mode, players will race at top speeds through traffic filled highways against three AI opponents in a winner take all battle to the finish line.
- Highway Checkpoint forces the player to push their car to the limit as they weave through traffic in an attempt to make it to the next checkpoint before time expires.
- Players can also earn three new vehicles as they complete the Challenge Series. Each vehicle is available for use in career or online and has been specifically tuned to compete against the top cars in the game.
- Battle Machine Mazda RX-7 will be awarded upon completion of the first 30 events.
- Speed Machine Porsche 911 GT2 with matte black paint and custom gold liveries will be awarded after completing all 60 of the Challenge Series events.
- Dominator Corvette Z06 is for players that dominate a minimum of 31 events.
