Activision Unveils New Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits Character
Introducing Calista Valenz, an all-new character joining the Guitar Hero rocking ranks
Thursday 30th April/… Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) today unveiled Calista Valenz: an all-new character that will debut in Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits this summer.
Calista Valenz is tough as nails and sweet like candy, with a smile that can melt any man’s heart. Her motto is, “Fake it until you make it,” and she has a habit of telling strangers today is her birthday. Calista once volunteered to spend a week in jail for charity and was put behind bars on a Monday, got bored, and somehow escaped that Tuesday. She spent a month running from the law, even though no one was looking, and hid out at a night club. The rocker pretended to be a lead guitarist, and during her first show, a record promoter told her she was a no talent hack. She smacked him upside the head with a sausage and dumped spaghetti down his pants, all with a smile. He stood up and immediately signed her to a lifetime contract.
Handheld guitar gods can now choose how they raise-up their band from the underground music scene to worldwide rock stardom in Guitar Hero® On Tour: Modern Hits. Featuring a set list comprised of more than 25 master tracks from influential artists including Coldplay, Fall Out Boy and Weezer, Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits expands on the innovative Guitar Hero gameplay on the Nintendo DS by introducing an all-new Fan Request system that challenges players to jam like never before. Fret board fanatics can once again unleash their inner rock stars anytime, anywhere as they hone their shredding skills and jam to face-melting modern rock tracks from the last five years in Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits.
Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits is developed by Vicarious Visions and will be available exclusively for Nintendo DS™ this summer.

PSP Go! @ E3 2009?!?!?!
Game site 1UP reports Sony will release a new version of its PSP portable gaming device later this year. According to sources who contacted the gaming site, previous speculations will become real. The PSP Go! will not support actual UMD discs, and its games (including the classic PSP ones) will be downloadable. Though an official announcement has not been made yet, the report states the new PSP will come with either a 8GB or 16GB internal flash drive, but a second analog stick will be absent. There are no more details about the PSP Go! capabilities, but people who gets to attend E3 2009 will have the chance to take a look at the new portable system. It’ll be cool if Sony gets to add features besides the ones seen in the DSi and the iPhone into its PSP Go! The system will be on sale in Japan in September, and in the US in October or November. Fuente: New PSP Named And Coming This Fall [http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3173959].
